Leaders Are People Too: Because I Stayed I Win!

Hello Friends, Colleagues & Family,

I bring you greetings in the Name of the Lord...I sound like the Apostle Paul in my opener. I want to start by congratulating every man and woman of God who has stood the test of time. Not that you're still "in ministry" or position but you are still loving God, loving ministry, loving people, and living the Life above reproach. Notice the words, above reproach, not without flaw, so to speak, but a life of maturity, perfect as the Word says in James. Leaders that live a life worthy of being followed are who I want to celebrate at this moment in time. Congratulations and well done...KEEP IT MOVING MY Brother & MY Sister...Paul said," I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it" (Philippians 3:12-16).
You almost gave up but You Stayed, so You Win!

I started the post off the way I did because lately there's been so many on the"slash em' and bash em'" bandwagon of the men and women of God. The world is doing what it does by being used as a demonic tool to accuse the brethren. However, the problem that I've witnessed is that more brethren are accusing each other than the world. For example, the scandal that's fallen on our dear brother Pastor John Gray when he recently went on live t.v. and expressed in great candor, along with his wife Pastor Aventer Gray, his marital infidelity, which incidentally he did not have to do, and most don't do and will not do. Further, I add, before he exposed himself to the world, everyone was clueless of the situation. Nonetheless, "saints" and "aint's" from the penthouse to the poorhouse jumped on the bash the Gray family and all preachers bus. I cannot tell you how many men and women of God I had to remind," that the same cross you're nailing this Man and Woman of God to, you too may be nailed to later." Whatever happened to Paul's message to the "Church" at Corinth," These are all warning markers—danger!—in our history books, written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the story are parallel—they at the beginning, we at the end—and we are just as capable of messing it up as they were. Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence" (1 Corinthians 10:11,12)? Let's keep it real, how many things have you done in the dark that only God and His tender mercy has kept out of the light? Well, let me talk about me as a Christ-follower and fellow minister of the Gospel. I've done a lot of things that I thank God has been placed underneath the forgiving grace of my Lord, and just to keep it clear, this was after my "profession of Faith", and since I believed.

Make no mistake about it my dear friends, brethren, and family, WE NEED EACH
OTHER. No man is an island and certainly cannot stand alone. Even Jesus chose 12 because Leaders are people too. Those in the Church have been so busy fighting for the 3P's (power, prestige, position) that the greatest asset to society,  the leader, has been forgotten about. Let's consider the sharp incline of Pastoral suicides. What are we as leaders doing about our own? As stated, we sincerely need one another and just because you say, "thou" and the leader down the street says "thee" doesn't make either better, just different. We are all called and equipped for those we are called to reach. That's why we can't put claims on God's people. It is our jobs as leaders to train the people and then send them out, not hold onto them like prizes.

Consider this, just because a church has 1000's of people does not mean that the pastor is not preaching the Truth or is stealing the money. In the same light, just because a church has less than 200 people doesn't mean that the leader is preaching Truth and living holy. Again God equipped each of us with we needed for those (specific genre's) He called us to. Therefore, it is our God-given right and duty as believers to celebrate and pray for one another because together we can strike a mighty blow against the forces of darkness. If we would take the focus off what is going on in someone else's' life and leave that to God, then our race would be easier because then there would be a clear vision to see that together, we have more for us than against us! -R. Redefining Success

Contrary to popular opinion or "pop culture", success is not defined by things and stuff, or the latest and the greatest; let alone how many Twitter followers or Facebook friends you have. If that were true then why are so many with popularity and millions of dollars committing suicide? True success is defined by knowing God and fulfilling the original destiny, purpose, and intent that He placed you here on earth for. That's right, everyone was placed on earth for a good purpose and intent by God the Creator.  Unfortunately, many will not see or actualize that good purpose and destiny because they are listening to and believing the wrong definition of success instead of what God defines success as; which is the intentional practice of obeying the instructions for living that are in the Word of God. Joshua 1:8 says, " Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do". You get it now, success is only defined by the progress you make when you obey God and His plan for your life.

When you stop focusing on how fast someone is going or what they have that you may want, then you will see just how far you've progressed because your progress is the success.  Don't get me wrong, I get it, sometimes it's hard to see the beauty of the forest because of the bombardment of the tress. I know I've been in your shoes more times than I care to remember, being in such a hurry to see "the manifestation" that I forget that God is working behind the scenes bringing it all together in the most perfect way and time for me. But then, I had to stop and remind myself that faith must have her perfect work, so when I get what God has for me it is fully ready and so am I. So what, the "big thing" hasn't manifested yet but every step towards and forward is a victory to celebrate. Celebrate life, good health, friends and family that love you, and even more so, celebrate the God that never counted you out but always counted you in. Celebrate the God that declared before you were born that with Him you'll always win!
-R.Charles,1/2019

Here's a prayer for you:

Lord, I thank You for every promise that You have made concerning my life. I thank You that You are faithful to Your own word. Therefore, You will bring those promises to pass in the most expedient ways and time possible for me. So I will obey everything you tell me to do and then I will relax and trust "the how" that they are going to come to pass to You!
In Jesus' name. Amen.

A Revalation Leads to Revolution

A Revelation Leads to Revolution
by Ruth Charles"DrRuth",012019

Have you already given up on your New Year's resolution? We are a little past mid January and many people that made resolutions have already resolved that," it's not working so why keep trying?" Let’s examine what a resolution actually is; a resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something. In essence, this decision uses and is reliant upon human will power to work. And let’s face it when you’re trying to let go the chocolate cake and lose 20lbs or quit smoking, human will power is often not enough. You must have a clear understanding that to live a better life or your best life, to move forward, let go of the past, and stop harmful life cycles you must have a revolution. A revolution is a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favor of a new system. In other words, it’s going take a lot more than your human will power to change a behavior that you’ve struggled with for years. Human will power alone will not reroute the course of your life. It’s going to take a forcible overthrow of the governing power that you’ve allowed to rule your life. Yes, you've got it, it's going to take a revolution as Christian artist Kirk Franklin once wrote. A true revolution can only come from a revelation of what actually needs to take place in your life. The revelation or great revealing of your life's plan can only come from the giver of life, God. In essence, you will be successful in your plans when you allow God to make those plans for you. Proverbs 16:9, says, ”We plan the way we want to live, but only God makes us able to live it.” That’s right it’s God that gives us the power to live the life He has called us to. I’ll say that again so that it can give you the proverbial “aha" moment. God gives us the power tools or keys to live, thrive in, complete or flourish and finish in the life or destiny that He has called us to. But the only way to live a victorious life without lack or limits is to embrace God’s plans. When you buy into a meism society, where people want what they want, when they want it, God’s will for your life goes unfulfilled and subsequently you feel unfulfilled. So amidst making resolutions, that tends to be something that everyone else is doing or the latest fad, and trend, or even if it is a well thought out plan, it will not equal fulfillment for you if you failed to consult God about what He had planned for your life. When man fails to embrace the God-plan for their lives, then that’s a plan for a failed life. Jeremiah 29:11 says it best, "I know the plan I have for you... For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking towards you -- an affirmation of Jehovah; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give to you posterity and hope." "And God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us", (Ephesians 3:20). So just in case, your New Year's resolution is already a bust it's time to go to God and ask him for revelation so that you can have a revolution in your life now That's Kingdom Living.
